Community

Happy has a growing community of people showing care and concern for him. These pictures were taken today in the waiting area at the hospital. We have friends showering us with calls, emails, visits, prayer, and food. We've had visits from four different AFS staff and volunteers (AFS is the agency that manages the exchange students). Happy's uncle is coming tomorrow and AFS is working to get Visas for his parents so that they can visit. I talked to his dad this morning

Unfortunately until Happy gets out of ICU, visitation will be very restricted. However, get involved in this blog. For many of you this is the best way for you to reach and to those who love Happy. Forward this URL to friends who know Happy and encourage them to write responses.

Medical status for today
The big news was the doctors completed an angiogram and determined that the blood flow in his brain is normal. No blockages and no leakages. This was great news. Happy will remain sedated for probably another day or two before they bring him back to conciousness and see how he is doing. We are very impressed with the medical care that he is receiving at OHSU. Now I understand why it has the reputation of being the top hospital in Oregon.
