Consciousness - Each day he is more alert and doing more but he is still quite sleepy. After he sat up for a while yesterday, he was very tired. Yesterday the doctor gave him a small stuffed teddy bear and asked him to throw it. He was able to do this.

Answering a couple of questions
Pneumonia - Happy has a moderate case and they did a culture and determined that the antibiotics that they are giving him are effective for the particular pneumonia that he has. The pneumonia is related to the breathing tube that he has had - it is a very common side effect. The doctors expect the pneumonia to clear up without significantly impacting Happy's recovery.
