The Bhatt family today
Happy got out of ICU yesterday and he's been enjoying lots of visitors. Today they put a cap over the opening on Happy's trach and now he is breathing through his nose and mouth. Happy pulled his feeding tube out of his nose today and the staff decided to try feeding him yogurt. He enjoyed it and later they gave him apple sauce and ice cream. He did great and he REALLY enjoyed the real food.

Happy took about 50 steps today with the help of his physical therapists. Now that his trach is capped, the speech therapist is working with Happy to try to get him to talk. He was trying but he couldn't, but he made a deal with his therapist that he would talk on Saturday - so pray about that.
The doctors plan to transfer him to Legacy Emanuel on Monday so he can do more physical rehabilitation. Rajan and Amisha are really excited by all the progress today!!
