Happy parents are coming

Happy is stable but no big changes today.  His inner cranial pressure was elevated a couple of times but the nurses did a great job of getting that back into the normal range.

The big news...  Happy's parents are arriving from India.  We're all so glad that they can be here with their son.

  7. Hi,
I'm an exchange student from India as well and I'm placed in Napa, CA presently.
I'm really glad to know Happy is being taken care of so well, I knew he'd be strong. It's nice to know he's getting so much support and is on his way to a steady recovery. My prayers are with him. And I hope his parents can be there soon.
Kudos to you, for this blog.
It'll make him Happy when he's back :)

  8. from SallyAnn:

Happy's host dad, Glenn, (the blog creator) is on the mountain this morning
for his son's ski races, so I thought I would send a note out to keep
everyone in the loop. This is blind copied to everyone who has received the
    blog information. http://happy-bhatt.blogspot.com/

The nurse reported that Happy was responding to voice commands this morning!
He gave a thumbs up when asked to! We are all hoping that there might be
some encouraging signs for his family when they arrive today. They have
sedated him again, so visitors are still restricted, but we wanted to share
    the positive news.

Keep Happy and all those caring about him in your thoughts and prayers.

  11. Happy, we have only know you for about 2 weeks now. We met you at the Hilgeman's home for care group and were delighted to meet you. We were very sorry to hear of your accident and have been praying for a complete recovery for you. We are so thankful that your parents were able to make it here so quickly from India and thankful for all your "adopted" families caring for you in their absence. We look forward to hearing more of your progress daily. God Bless You Happy!
