Physical Therapy is progressing well. Happy is able to move more and his left side is gaining strength. When Happy is ready to leave ICU, the doctors are recommending transferring him to another hospital, Legacy Emanuel in Portland, as they have an outstanding pediatric rehabilitation program. The Bhatts will be meeting with the staff from the new hospital Thursday to understand everything. The transfer may not happen for another week or so.
Based on the results of the last CT scan, there is still swelling on the brain, so the doctors don't want to remove the drain from his head. However, they've had the drain clamped for the last two days, while monitoring Happy's inner cranial pressure (ICP), and his ICP has stayed in the range they want - so that is good.
Pray that Happy gains strength and that his physical therapy goes well.
